On January 9 we celebrate a new anniversary of the birth of St. Josemaría Escrivá, Founder of Opus Dei. With this motive, it will be premiered at the Basilica of San Miguel, at 8:30 p.m. the first Polyphonic Mass in honor of Saint Josemaría composed by the prestigious organist, composer and professor of the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid, Miguel del Barco Gallego. The ceremony will be presided over by Card. Antonio Mª Rouco, Archbishop Emeritus of Madrid.


On Saturday January 13th, 2018 at 20.00 h., there Will be a tribute concert to Miguel del Barco by one of his disciples, Daniel Martín Salvador who is currently finishing his doctoral thesis at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow.

The program of the concert is:
- Short Mass for organ alone.
- Prelude on the Aurora.
- Orbis factor (pending confirmation).
- Regina Coeli.
- Ave Maris Stella.
- Extremadura (work composed by Daniel in honor of his teacher in which he evokes the Extremadura land and in particular Our lady of Guadalupe, of which D. Miguel is a great devotee).


The clases are about the Christian doctrine on current issues. Directed to a wide public (marriages, families, etc.) All the sessions of this course will be taught ordinarily on the first Sunday of the month at 11:30 h.

They take place in the Chapter Hall (entrance through the sacristy).
